New rules for urethane balls apply at the tournament. The 18th edition of the Summer Bowling Tournament returns to BNC Bratislava this July, offering an enjoyable yet competitive setting for bowlers from around Europe. With more a €2,000 prize fund and €800 awarded to the winner, the event provides a solid mid-season challenge in the heart of Slovakia. The tournament begins with a 6-game qualification round, open to both initial entries and re-entries. From there, the top 32 players advance to the finals. In the quarterfinal stage (Final Step 1), they bowl three additional games, with 50% of their qualification pinfall carried forward. The top 16 then progress to the semifinal, where scores reset and all bowlers compete over two games from scratch. Finally, the top 8 move on to the championship round, where they bowl two more games — this time with full carryover from the semifinal — to determine the overall winner. Set in Bratislava, a city known for its charming old town, Danube river views, and vibrant culture, the tournament also doubles as a great summer getaway. With modern facilities at BNC and the capital’s sights just minutes away, the 2026 Summer Bowling Tournament promises a memorable mix of sport and atmosphere.
